I was in Langdale over the weekend with a bunch of friends to do Langdale Pikes and Bowfell (was a fantastic walk), however we were discussing First Aid kits before we set off. Now I think I'm over cautious, but I was amazed that some of the walking group did not have any first aid with them and therefore was wondering what other's took with them and what they tent to have in their first aid kits? walkingcaveman.blogspot.co.uk/

Hikers need to customize their kit according to their personal needs. They need to know everything in their kit. It's also important to keep your first aid kit in a waterproof container. First aid kit needs to contain following things-: Personal medications, Different types of bandages including Roll and Triangular, Adhesive tape, Safety pins, Small mirror, Burn ointment, Hydrogen peroxide, Hydrocortisone cream, Aspirin / ibuprofen, Antibiotic cream.
