We'll be joining the national park rangers who will be leading the walk from the Bowden Bridge car park, near Hayfield, which starts at 10:30 BST and continues until 16:30 BST, covering between five and ten miles in the process.
Participants are advised to bring walking boots and waterproof jackets, as well as something to eat and drink, while pre-booking is required.
The national park noted that there will be steep ascents in some places as the exploration of the mountain takes place.
Among the more curious aspects of the 2,088 ft high massif is the Mermaid's Pool, a small mountain tarn on the western flank that legend says contains a mermaid, with anyone seeing it on Easter Sunday living forever.
One man from Hayfield was said to have visited the pool on that day each year and while he did not gain immortality, he did live to 102.
